Issuing Refunds

Refunds can be issued in four different places:

  1. On your phone via the yetipay mobile app

    1. You can download the app from both Apple App Store and Google Play Store

  2. On your computer via basecamp - our web-based portal

  3. On your card machine in either:

    1. The pay-by-link app

    2. The yetipay payments app

  1. Open the app and find the transaction you want to refund

  2. Select the transaction, and you'll see another screen with a button, Refund

  3. Tap the refund button

  4. You can choose the amount you want to refund, up to the maximum of the amount of the original transaction. E.g. if the original transaction was £10, you can refund any amount up to £10 for that transaction.

  1. Log into Basecamp

  2. From the main menu, choose Reporting

  3. Select Transactions

  4. Find the payment you want to refund by using the handy filtering options.

  5. Once you've located the payment, click Refund on the right-hand side

  6. Enter the amount you’d like to refund

  1. Open the yetipay payments app

  2. Tap the hamburger menu button (those three little lines) in the top right corner

  3. Select All transactions

  4. Use the filters to find the transaction you need

  5. Press Refund

  6. Enter the refund amount and an email address (if you'd like to send a receipt by email)

  1. Open the pay-by-link app

  2. Tap the three dots menu (in the top right)

  3. Choose All transactions from the menu

  4. You'll be prompted to enter a pin - you should have received this in your welcome email from yetipay. If you have lost it please ask your account manager/support for a copy.

  5. Find the transaction you want to refund in the list, and tap the big pink refund button

  6. Enter the amount you want to refund, up to the maximum of the amount of the original transaction. E.g. if the original transaction was £10, you can refund any amount up to £10 for that transaction.


Just a quick reminder: You won’t be able to refund more than the original payment amount!
