Pay by Link lets you take a payment without the customer being in front of you — you send them a link, and they pay online by card. Pay by Link is built into the yetipay payments app, so you don't need to open a separate app.
Pay by Link must be enabled on your account before you can use it. If you don't see the option, see How do I get Pay by Link enabled? below.
How do I take a payment using Pay by Link?
Open the payments app on your terminal
Tap the menu (the three lines in the top right)
Tap New transaction
Tap Payment link
Enter the amount of the payment
Choose how to share your link: text, email, or scan the QR code
Once you've shared the link, press Done
Where can I see my previous payment links?
In the payments app, tap the menu (three lines, top right), then History, then Payment links.
What are my Pay by Link limits?
All merchants start with the same standard limits:
£50 maximum per payment link
£150 maximum per day across all your payment links
Any request to increase these limits requires an application. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be approved before higher limits are applied. Contact your Account Manager or support team to apply.
What happens once I've shared the payment link?
Your customer receives the link via the method you chose
They have 24 hours to make payment before the link expires
They're taken to a web page where they enter their card details and complete the payment
Once the payment succeeds, they can send themselves an email receipt
How do I get Pay by Link enabled?
Pay by Link needs to be enabled on your account before the Payment link option appears in your payments app. There's a short setup process — Stripe verification and adding your Terms & Conditions in Basecamp — and no additional setup fees.
For the full steps, see How can I enable Pay by Link?, or contact your Account Manager or our support team.
