Use this when the terminal shows Connected to the POS and you want to take a quick, stand-alone payment.
To switch out of integrated mode:
Make sure the terminal shows it’s Connected to the POS.
Triple-tap the very top-left corner of the screen, fairly quickly. You’ll see a small grey circle appear with each tap (this confirms you’re tapping in the right place).
On the third tap, the terminal will disconnect from the POS.
You’ll be switched into non-integrated mode (you’ll see the "New payment" option).
Enter an amount and take payment as normal.
Important to Know
You can always take payments - even if integration isn't working, non-integrated mode lets you keep trading.
Non-integrated payments won't appear on your POS - you'll need to manually reconcile them later using your terminal reports.
It's fine to switch modes - use whatever works best for your situation. Many merchants use integrated mode most of the time, with non-integrated as a backup during connection issues or busy periods.
How to switch back
To switch back, simply tap back into "Pay at counter".
