Integration modes explained

Updated this week

Your yetipay terminal can operate in different modes depending on how you want to take payments. Here's what you need to know.

Pay At Counter Mode (Integrated)

Most common integration type

Your POS sends payment amounts to the terminal automatically. The terminal processes the payment and sends the result back to your POS.

How it works:

  • Enter amount in your POS

  • Payment request is sent to terminal automatically

  • Customer pays on terminal

  • POS receives confirmation automatically

Requirements:

  • Compatible POS system

  • Terminal set to Pay Counter mode

  • Stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G)

Best for: High-volume businesses with reliable internet and compatible POS systems

Pay At Table Mode (Integrated)

Less common integration type

Payment is initiated from the terminal instead of the POS. Used mainly for table service scenarios where servers need to process payments at the table.

How it works:

  • Server enters amount on terminal

  • Payment is linked to specific waiter ID (set by your POS)

  • Transaction information is sent back to POS

Requirements:

  • POS system that supports waiter IDs

  • Terminal configured for Pay Table mode

  • Stable internet connection

Best for: Table service restaurants using waiter-based POS systems
