If your POS and terminal totals don't match, there are usually simple explanations.
Normal Reasons for Differences
TiPJAR Tips
If you use TiPJAR, tips are added on the terminal but don't get sent to your POS. Your terminal total will be higher than your POS total. This is normal.
yetipay tips
If you use yetipay tips (gratuity), these do get sent to your POS and should match.
Non-Integrated Payments
If you take payments directly on the terminal (non-integrated mode), your POS won't know about them. This is expected.
When to Contact Support
Contact us if:
A customer was charged on their card
But your POS shows the payment failed or was voided
This creates reconciliation problems and we need to investigate
What to Check
Do you use TiPJAR? You can check by simply starting a transaction! If the TiPJAR tip pop up appears then you have TiPJAR tips enabled.
Was your terminal in integrated mode when the payment was taken?
Did your internet connection drop during busy times?
If none of these explain the difference, contact support with:
The transaction time
The serial number of the device the payment was taken on
The amounts on both POS and terminal
The customers card details (last 4 digits)
